What will my school lose?

Avondale Elementary will cut $3,500,000 over the next five years.
Litchfield Elementary will cut $4,430,000 over the next three years.
Agua Fria Union
will cut $2,700,000 over the next three years.
Avondale Elementary has both an M&O and
K-3 Override on the ballot

If the renewal of the overrides does not pass, the districts will be required to cut the funding typically provided by these overrides.

The Governing Boards of each district have the final say on what each district will cut. By reviewing what these overrides currently fund, it is not hard to see the difficult decisions that would face these school boards.

The list below is what Continue the Quality believes school districts will be forced to cut. We do not believe this is a list of cuts to pick from, but all areas will have cuts.

  • Teaching positions will be cut resulting in larger class sizes from K-12
  • Teaching staff and supplies for fine arts electives, possibly entire arts programs will be cut
  • Classroom aides, library aides, nursing aides and other support service personel
  • Cuts in budget for athletic programs
  • Reduction or elimination of some Gifted Programs
  • Reduction or elimination of some Remediation Programs (reading programs)
  • Teaching staff and supplies for electives such as agriculture, JROTC, business, technology and engineering programs
  • Reduction or elimination of some transportation related expenses
